Chump Line Thursday September 6, 2012 - Pathological Liar
Our favorite message on today's chump line was a caller who said he called DNC Chairman Rep . Debbie Wasserman Schultz's office to ask if she was a pathological liar or just your everyday garden variety liar.
Should Allen West apologize for email against Debbie Wasserman-Schultz
House Democrats lined up to excoriate GOP Rep. Allen West on Wednesday after he sent an incendiary email to the Democratic party chairwoman calling her "vile" and "not a lady." The head of the Congressional Black Caucus told Fox News on Wednesday that members are "furious" about the incident, saying he's going to speak with the Florida Republican about the matter. Shortly afterward, several female lawmakers held a news conference, at which they called on West to apologize. Should Rep West have to apologize for his email?
Are Republicans Racist?
DNC chair and Florida representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz told Roland Martin yesterday that Republicans “want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws and literally — and very transparently — block access to the polls to voters who are more likely to vote Democratic candidates than Republican candidates.” Wasserman Schultz also claims that voter photo-ID laws are similar to poll taxes. Barely two weeks ago, former DNC interim chair Donna Brazile made a similar charge in a USA Today column. Clearly, the charge will be a Democratic theme for the 2012 campaign. When the race card is played this early in the campaign cycle, there’s also a good likelihood it will be played often. Do you agree with Debbie Wasserman Schultz or is she out of her mind?
Sarah Hits The Road
Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin (R), who has been largely out of the public eye through much of the spring, will reemerge Sunday as she begins a national bus tour that will put her back in the spotlight and no doubt renew speculation about a possible presidential bid.
